Areas - Car Accidents
Car
accidents are the most common source of personal
injuries that we see in our Pennsylvania and New Jersey
personal injury law practice. As technology improves,
we would assume that our automobiles become safer. Airbags, seatbelts, crumple zones, and other technology
have made cars safer and improved the injury or survival
rate. Although cars may be safer, it is the driver who
is causing the significant number of car accidents in PA
and NJ. There has been a recent surge in distracted
driving accidents in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Cell
phones, navigation systems, sophisticated vehicle
entertainment systems, and other electronics have
contributed to an increased number of Bucks County,
Mercer County and Philadelphia car accidents.

Common
injuries from car accidents include neck injuries, back
injuries, and head injuries. Pennsylvania and New
Jersey each have their own set of complex and confusing
motor vehicle laws, insurance regulations, and
other rules and regulations related to car accidents.
After a Pennsylvania or New Jersey car accident, it is
extremely important that you have the car accident
documented by local or state police. The investigating
police officer will then issue a police car accident
report. You should obtain a copy of the police car
accident report as soon as it is made available. Police
car accident reports usually cost about $10-20.
If you
feel any pain after the car accident, you should call
911. Initial pains and twinges often times turn into
serious personal injuries that should be cared for and documented
by a doctor at the emergency room of the closest
hospital. If you are not in immediate pain after a NJ
or PA car accident, you should record the name, address,
and phone number of the other driver. Take photos of
the other driver’s car, especially that part of the
other car that collided with your vehicle. You should
also take pictures of your own car. In addition, you
should also take photos of the car accident scene from
as many different angles as possible.
There
are many considerations and helpful tips that you should
know soon after a Bucks County, Mercer County, or
Philadelphia car accident. We offer free--no obligation
information gaining consultations where we will educate
you with information that is vital to maximizing your
car accident claim. Contact us so that we may help you
before you take actions that may harm your car accident
injury case.
