Website: WhoCanIsue.com will only hurt innocent injured victims…

I realize that most of the personal injury advertisements that you see on TV are tasteless. These bad commercials are one of the reasons that injury lawyers have received a bad reputation in the community.
I am a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, NJ Chapter. These groups attempt to mitigate the bad rap that trial lawyers receive by showing the public the actual good we do for our severely injured clients.
I found an advertisement (billboard) on I-95 in Philadelphia particularly objectionable. The ad is for the new website whocanisue.com. The ad shows a picture of a man in a suit slipping on a banana peal.
This type of advertisement only poisons the jury pool. This ad will prevent an innocently injured victim from recovering fair compensation from someone who carelessly caused their injuries. Even the name whocanisue is objectionable. This advertisement gives the impression that personal injury lawsuits, especially slip and fall lawsuits are frivolous.
It appears that the creator of this website has not been injured or has represented someone who has been truly injured. Someone who has had experience with a debilitating injury caused by someone else would never create such a website.

persoannly i think every person should be taught through public education how to file a law suit, step by step, everything, ,…..
that way there would be no need for personal injury attorneys for the majority of people who need to file a law suit.
i checked out the website, …. i didnt go to a lot of links, i just looked at the main page,…..i didnt think it was bad or much different from sites like dui.com,…..
It is a resource of information for people who are injured or who have loved ones that are injured.
People in general do not spend any time thinking about lawsuits , so when something happens and they need to sue for personal injury, they are totally ignorant on the subject from every angle,…..
So a website like who can i sue is a resource for people investigating what to do, …. just as your website is.
I understand it presents some level of competetion, ….. but you have something they do not have, .. word of mouth in the communities where you work,….people trust more when a friend refers you to an attorney, more so then the yellow pages or websites.
i agree with what jim says. i went to the website & saw some of the interviews of the attorney behind it on cnn. what he said makes alot of sense. it’s OUR job as personal injury attorneys to prevent frivolous lawsuits. if certain pi lawyers stopped taking on frivolous cases then juries wouldn’t hear so much about this problem. because the problem would go away. stopping clients from finding lawyers isn’t the answer.
