Pennsylvania State Troopers from the Trevose and Dublin barracks conducted a roving drunken driving DUI patrol on several Bucks County highways.
The patrols were done from 11 p.m. on February 14 through 3 a.m. on February 15. One driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, another driver was cited for driving under suspension, three drivers were cited for speeding tickets and six other citations and 28 written warnings were issued for other various Bucks County traffic tickets.

Driving While Intoxicated or driving while being drunk is considered a serious offense in every state of the US. Being drunk while driving to such an extent that the mental and motor skills get impaired is illegal in all jurisdictions.
well, with the buget restraints on all state governments at this time, i find it interesting they thought it was better to issue 28 written warnings, than to collect fines. However the state police are not out to help towns get money. was this cost effective and smart government? i am not sure. one dui arrest, hmmmmm, how many cars were stopped, …..and how many people were true dui on other highways and roads?……. justice scelia has interesting views on this type of stuff, ….. it makes one wonder, ……
There are many illegal things peiople do that the police do not concern themnselves with. And the police do many illegal things themselves everyday. I don’t understand the purpose of Mark’s comment.
