Two new NJ directives handed down last week for NJ Municipal Courts…

Mar 4th, 2008 | By Michael L. Saile, Jr., Esq. | Category: Blogs

Last week, the presiding judge of the NJ Appellate Division, acting as Administrative Director of the Courts, handed down two different directives (operating guidelines)to NJ Municipal Courts.

The first directive deals with procedures regarding the dismissal of NJ Municipal Court Complaints and NJ traffic violations.   The second directive deals with NJ Municipal Court employees and their involvement in NJ Municipal Court cases with people they know that come before their courts.

These directives are probably in response to the rash of recent problems with judges, prosecutors, and other NJ Municipal Court employees who have been caught attempting to influence the outcome of an NJ traffic ticket or other NJ violation for someone they know.
