Right to a jury trial?

“In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.”
Our right to a jury trial is the backbone of our justice system. Our justice system is what has kept the United States a union.
In civil law, personal injury cases, including car accident cases are brought before a jury. In other less civilized countries, you to not have the right to redress if you were injured someone else’s recklessness. In these other countries, revenge is the only payback.
Most Americans believe that the right to a jury trial is a fundamental right…because it is. Sometimes the right to a jury trial is not accessible by all American citizens. This is because it is too expensive for the average citizen to bring a civil case to a jury trial.
I am writing this blog because yesterday I was shocked at the fee to file a personal injury case in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court.
The final cost was $599.92 and that is just to file the complaint! Perhaps it is some sort of sales ploy…like the fee couldn’t be $600…
Has our right to a jury trial been diminished?
LOL, THATS PRETTYY FUNNY,……. WHAT ABOUT THE 6TH ADMENTMENT AND THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL PERIOD, FOR A DUI, …. 27 COURT APPEARANCES OVER 47 MONTHS, AND NOT ONE WORD OF TESTIMONY EVER GIVEN, …. I AM QUITE SURE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL PERIOD IS GONE ,… LOL LET ALONE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL IN A CIVIL MATTER, …. THAT WOULD BE ICING ON THE CAKE,
LET US FIRST GET PEOPLE A TRIAL PERIOD FOR DUI
