Man charged with DWI after hitting mailbox in Atlantic County, NJ
Feb 3rd, 2009 | By Michael L. Saile, Jr., Esq. | Category: Blogs, DUI-DWI-DAI (Drunk Driving)Early on the morning of January 10, 2009, Vishalba Patel of Point Pleasant, NJ was pulled over for swerving at Philadelphia Avenue and the White Horse Pike by Egg Harbor City police five miles from a damaged mailbox on the 400 block of the White Horse Pike in Galloway Township. Parts of Mr. Patel’s black 2009 Toyota Corolla were found at the site of the mangled mailbox.
Mr. Patel’s blood-alcohol level was 0.14, and Egg Harbor City police charged him with NJ DWI (driving while intoxicated). The City police reported Patel to Galloway police who charged him with reckless driving, leaving the scene of an NJ car accident and failure to report the NJ car accident.
If this is Mr. Patel’s first NJ DWI charge, chances are he will not go to jail.

0.14 is pretty high. Does Egg Harbor have the Alcotest? Lots of factors involved there. There could be defenses in this case, stemming from 2 different towns, …. and what exactly was going on.
Definitely one of the better posts I’ve read in a while. Thanks!
