If you have Arthritis, you may be injured more than someone without Arthritis in a PA or NJ car accident
Jun 19th, 2007 | By Michael L. Saile, Jr., Esq. | Category: Blogs, Common Injuries from Car Accidents, New Jersey Injury Information, Pennsylvania Injury InformationMany PA & NJ auto insurance companies claim that if a car accident claimant has pre-existing arthritis (degenerative joint disease-spondylosis) that any new injury claimed to have occurred from the PA or NJ car accident was most likely pre-existing.
According to several medical studies, these auto insurance company claims could not be further from the truth.
For example, if a 22-year-old body builder and a 90-year-old man that is 4’2″ and riddled with arthritis are both in the same accident, who will be hurt more, the person with no arthritis or the person with a significant amount of arthritis?
The answer is, the 90-year-old man with a significant amount of arthritis. Beyond the research, common sense dictates the same.
