How many points can I get in Pennsylvania before my license is suspended?

At Saile & Saile LLP, we represent citizens who have received driving tickets in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Each state is different with regard to how many points that it assigns to a certain driving offense.  Also, each state has a different level of points that if you incur, your license will be suspended.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportations (PennDOT) has created a handy and straightforward “Fact Sheet” which explains what action it will take regarding the following situations:

·        Points received if the driver is under the age of 18

·        First accumulation of 6 points

·        Second accumulation of 6 points

·        Third or more accumulation of 6 points

·        Excessive Speeding

·        Accumulation of 11 points

·        Point Removal for safe driving
