Accident Injuries Common to Senior Drivers

Feb 21st, 2012 | By Michael L. Saile, Jr., Esq. | Category: Blogs

Senior Citizen drivers are at a greater risk for certain injuries after a PA car accident than a person of a younger age cites Bucks County personal injury lawyer Michael L. Saile, Jr.

As people age, senses such as eyesight, start to decrease.  Not only do senses decrease, but so does one’s ability to focus and control certain muscles. Older individuals’ bones start to become frail which makes them more prone to fracture injuries than healthy bones.

In the event of a Bucks County accident, areas such as the hip and knee can become fractured, either from the accident itself, or related incidents. Being in the same position for an extended period of time can irritate a minor injury and cause it to become more serious.

To treat accident injuries such as these to senior citizens, requires specialized, attentive medical care.  Read more about this subject in our new article, “Senior Citizens and Car Accident Injuries.”

We encourage you to order your FREE copy of Attorney Saile’s Pennsylvania car accident book, where you will find answers to the many questions people have after they or a loved one is injured in a PA or NJ car accident.
