On January 9, 2009, Brandi Slimmer of Walnut Road, Millville, NJ, was involved in an NJ car accident when she drove her vehicle into the northeast corner of Neptune Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge after seemingly falling asleep at the wheel, according to Vineland, NJ police Sgt. Vince Solazzo. Slimmer was driving south on Delsea Drive in Vineland, NJ, when her car went off the road, knocking down a fence and shrubbery on the property of a nearby carwash before hitting the restaurant.

Brandi Slimmer and her passenger, Tom Reed, also of Millville, NJ, both sustained personal injuries and were flown to area hospitals for treatment. There was major structural damage caused to the restaurant. Luckily, no one was in the restaurant at the time of the NJ car accident.

According to Sgt. Solazzo, Brandi Slimmer will be cited for NJ reckless driving. In this situation, Tom Reed may have a claim against the negligent driver of the car.

  1. I dont think we should jump the gun here on the driver’s possible negligence. Where did the falling asleep at the wheel come from? Assuming they both hit their heads hard, I not sure any statement like that made by the injured parties is reliable. Furthermore, the car could have malfunctioned, the sterring wheel and gas pedal could have locked up, …. or maybe a derr ran out into the road and she swerved to miss it and , it all happened so fast, ……

again, we know that the nj supreme court does not believe all one car accidents are the fault of the driver.

can recxkless driving be proven based solely on circumstantial evidence?

    obviously she was not DUI.

PS— ILL BE MAKING MY 19TH COURT APPEARANCE FOR MY LOW LEVEL , ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP, NO ACCIDENT, DUI, COMING UP AT THE 42/43 MONTH MARK SINCE THE ARREST. CANT GET A HEARING IN MUNICIPAL COURT YET
